Lucknow Super Giants pacer Avesh Khan is enjoying his time with the fast bowling cartel of the franchise. Lucknow has one of the best fast attacks in the tournament, with the experience of Jason Holder, the ferocious nature of Dushmantha Chameera and two brilliant young Indian talents Avesh and Mohsin Khan.

The pacers have done very well together as a unit and were at their best against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday in the Indian Premier League. The quartet took eight of them, breaking the back of the KKR line-up, as LSG won by a mammoth 75 runs.

The leader of the attack, aged just 25 – Avesh Khan has spoken a lot about the quality of Lucknow and admitted that he is really enjoying his bowling with the unit.

“There is a lovely bond between the four of us,” Avesh Khan said on the IPL website after the game. He revealed that there is a lot of knowledge sharing between the bowlers which makes life easier in the stressful conditions of the game – something which has really helped him perform well in this edition of the IPL.

“Chamira and Mohsin got us off to a great start today, which took the pressure off me. We support each other in all circumstances, during time-outs and we tell each other what we can try to do in between,” revealed Avesh.

Lucknow Super Giants rose to the top of the table after a win against KKR at a time when the teams have started declining. The table toppers on the last game-day, Gujarat Titans have lost two games on the bounce, while Lucknow are peaking at the right time with four consecutive wins.
