Mac: How Apple may plan to redesign the Mac – Times of India

Apple reportedly working on a new Magic Keyboard that will have Mac integrated inside it. Apple may launch a Mac that will be part of a keyboard, according to a new patent application discovered by AppleInsider. The patent application is named ‘Input Device into Computer’. The device is said to work exactly as Apple Mac Mini for which users need display, keyboard and mouse. But with the device mentioned in the patent, you’ll only need a display for Mac setup.
The patent application reveals that the working device will be bigger and longer than the current Apple Magic Keyboard. There are several references in the application which suggest that the device will be portable as well. “Computing device may be foldable about an axis.”, reads a reference in the patent application. The device may also have a cellular antenna for wireless Internet connectivity.
The app further reveals that the keyboard-sized device will have separate sections to fit specific components. “A strong demand for portable computing devices that also provide high performance,” reads the patent application. The patent also confirmed that components such as processors, batteries, memory, integrated circuits and others are now being manufactured within smaller footprints to provide lighter and thinner portable computing devices.
Three inventors are credited for the patent application. Significantly, Brett W. Degner is one of the three inventors. Degner first did a . Patent applications have been filed for iMac Made from a single sheet of glass. Apple doesn’t always make the technologies it displays in its patent applications into an actual product. If the company plans to incorporate the technology into future Macs, it could take a few years. So far, no official information has been received from the company about any such product.
