Macau publishes draft rules for new casino bidding process – Times of India

HONG KONG: Macau’s executive council on Tuesday published draft rules for a re-tender casino license before the end of the year of such rights granted to gaming companies in the world’s largest gambling center.
The rules included the criteria for bidding for gaming concessions, eligibility of bidding companies and awarding them.
The government will pay close attention to the operators’ plans to develop foreign tourism markets, the benefits and social responsibilities brought by gaming and non-gaming projects to Macau.
The rules come after the government passed Macau’s amendment gaming law Last month, that marked the biggest legal reforms for the industry in two decades.
The licenses for Macau’s casino operators – Wynn Macau, Sands China, MGM China, Galaxy Entertainment and Melco Resorts – will expire on December 31. Macau is the only place in China where casino gambling Legal only.
