Madhya Pradesh’s Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday announced construction of Vindhya Expressway to connect state capital Bhopal with Singrauli and develop industrial area around it. Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of airport construction and other development works in Rewa at a cost of about Rs 240 crore with Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday, Chouhan said that the Express Minister between Bhopal to Singrauli via Damoh, Katni, Rewa and directly – They will be made.

He announced that employment will also be made available to the youth of the areas around the industrial areas for the Vindhya Expressway. During the Global Investors Summit (GIS) held in Indore recently, the government received investment proposals worth Rs 2.88 lakh crore for the Vindhya region, second only to the Malwa region. He said that after 60 years of independence, 74 airports were built in the country. But in nine years 74 airports were built.

Scindia said that the proposed airport in Rewa was earlier available for 20 seaters, but he has now authorized it for 72 seaters. The Union Minister said that under the PM-UDAN scheme, 1.15 crore people availed the benefit of air travel at affordable prices. Chouhan and Scindia laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 747 crore in Rewa.
