Madhya Pradesh plans monthly ranking of government schools to improve education

In order to improve the quality of education in Madhya Pradesh schools, the state education department recently announced on its official Twitter handle that it will provide the ranking of government schools from class 1 to class 8 every month.

As per the announcement, the government will start assigning ranks to schools in all 52 districts on the basis of quality of education. Schools will be ranked based on the number of points obtained for performing their duties and producing high quality work.

Another tweet by the education department revealed that the decision to rank the schools was taken following the instructions of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The official notice claimed that the Chief Minister has asked the officials to publish the monthly ranking of schools on the CM Dashboard.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Shivraj Singh Chouhan also announced new scholarships to promote culture among students. He promised scholarships to students learning Sanskrit. Reportedly, the scholarship is scheduled to start in July. According to media reports, this decision was taken while addressing his cabinet ministers before the cabinet meeting at Vallabh Bhavan. The report claims that students will be able to apply for the scholarship through an online portal.

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students and priests studying Sanskrit language. This will also fill the vacant posts of Sanskrit teacher. according to the times of India According to the report, so far 1900 posts have been filled and the remaining posts are being filled. Along with this, arrangements for guest faculty will also be made till the appointment of teachers. CM Chouhan made several announcements in early May, including the state government’s plan to add a lesson on Lord Parashuram to the school curriculum.
