Magenta ChargeGrid inaugurates its first DC fast charger for electric vehicles in Kerala

Magenta’s DC Fast Charger has been installed in Kozhikode, at Crescendo, a premium store for lifestyle solutions for households in the Malabar region of Kerala. The DC fast charger can charge to 90 percent in 35 minutes and will be compatible with most EVs with a CCS2 connector.

Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider, Magenta has announced the inauguration of its first DC fast charger in Kerala. Magenta ChargeGrid’s DC fast charger has a 90 percent charge capability in 35 minutes and will be compatible with most electric vehicles with CCS2 connector like Tata Nexon, Tigor, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona, Kia EV6 and BYD E6. In fact, Magenta says that ChargeGrid will also be able to charge other high-end cars that are expected to be launched in the Indian market.

The charger will be compatible with most electric vehicles with CCS2 connector like Tata Nexon, Tigor, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona, Kia EV6 and BYD E6.

Magenta’s DC Fast Charger has been installed in Kozhikode, at Crescendo, a premium store for lifestyle solutions for households in the Malabar region of Kerala. Crescendo, which owns an authorized brand store for Bosch Home Appliances and Aristo Wardrobe Solutions and Kitchen, has partnered with Magenta to offer EV charging to its customers in Kozhikode and other EV owners. The Magenta ChargeGrid team was responsible for the installation, commissioning and operation of this charger. Magenta says that installing EV chargers in such hotspots will help boost EV adoption.

Premium store Crescendo has partnered with Magenta to offer EV charging to its customers in Kozhikode and other EV owners.

Magenta ChargeGrid is currently expanding its charging network to 35-40 cities in India with an aim to establish a network of around 11,000 chargers by the end of FY23. It is also collaborating with several corporations in India along with current collaborations with bodies like Indore.
