Maha: Government jobs will be given to the families of 42 workers killed during the Maratha reservation agitation, said Tope

State Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope said here on Saturday that the families of 42 people killed during the agitation for Maratha reservation would be given government jobs. He said that he will talk to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in this regard.

He told reporters here that the government has already given a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to their families. Maratha organizations staged a statewide agitation for quotas for the community in jobs and education between 2016 and 2018.
