Mahagathbandhan a ‘mismatch’ alliance: Union Minister Pashupati Paras asks Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to reconsider his decision

New Delhi: Union Minister Pashupati Paras has asked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to reconsider his decision to remain with the Grand Alliance after Sudhakar Singh resigned as Agriculture Minister over alleged injustice to the farmers of the state. On Sunday, Sudhakar Singh became the second Bihar minister in almost a month to tender his resignation. Earlier, Kartikeya Singh had resigned from the post of minister in connection with an alleged kidnapping case.

“In my opinion, it was not a good day when Nitish Kumar took oath with the Mahagathbandhan. Within 48 hours of the swearing-in, the law ministers who were supposed to be the custodians of the law were themselves in the grip of the law. Had to resign eventually,” Paras told ANI on Sunday, “There is an unfortunate situation in Bihar. Nitish Kumar should reconsider his alliance with the grand alliance.”

Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Paras called the Mahagathbandhan a “mismatched” alliance. “It is a mismatched alliance between RJD and JD(U). It is said that the chief minister will be changed after two months. When this happens, it will become very difficult to control the officials and criminals. The situation in Bihar is bad. ,” They said.

Demanding the Bihar CM to strengthen the law and order situation, he said that crimes have increased in the state after the Grand Alliance came to power. “There is no law and order in Bihar. Incidents of loot and murder are happening. Nitish Kumar should improve the situation in the state and work in this direction,” he said.

According to the officials of the Chief Minister’s Office of Bihar, the Agriculture Ministry has been given to Tourism Minister Kumar Sarvjeet after Sudhakar Singh. At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will hold the additional charge of the Ministry of Tourism. Bihar Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and Sudhakar Singh’s father Jagdanand Singh said Sudhakar Singh resigned over “injustice” to the farmers of the state.

Earlier, taking a dig at the Grand Alliance over Sudhakar Singh’s resignation, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said that the “second wicket” of the Grand Alliance has fallen within months.

He said that Sudhakar Singh has openly called Nitish Kumar’s agriculture roadmap a failure. Kartikeya Singh, who was dropped from the Law Ministry, has an outstanding arrest warrant against him in a kidnapping case for which he was granted interim protection till September 1 by a Danapur court. Fueling a controversy last month, Sudhakar Singh told a gathering in his constituency that his department was infested with “thieves” and he felt like a “thief head”.
