BJP president JP Nadda said the BJP’s central leadership has made a “personal request” to Devendra Fadnavis to take over as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra. Later, in a tweet, Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed that Fadnavis has agreed to the request.
