The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune is slated to to announce the results for the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSC) class 12 today, May 21. Once it is declared, candidates who appeared for the Science, Arts, and Commerce exam can check and download their Maharashtra Board 2024 results from the official websites at mahresult.nic.in and mahahsscboard.in.

Maharashtra Board Class 12 Results 2024: Pass Percentage Over The Years
While waiting for the current year’s results, candidates can look at the Maharashtra Board’s pass percentages from prior years.
The Maharashtra Class 12 exam held in 2023 had an overall pass rate of 91.25 per cent. The pass percentage of girls was 93.29 per cent while boys were 89.14 per cent.
In 2022, a total of 14,59,664 candidates appeared in the Maharashtra Class 12 exam and the overall pass percentage was 94.22 per cent.
Coming to 2021, the overall pass percentage of girls and boys was 99.63 per cent. There were about 13,19,754 students from Arts, Science, and Commerce streams who appeared in the exam.
In 2020, about 14,13,000 students sat for the Maharashtra Class 12 board exam and the total pass percentage was 90.66 per cent.
In 2019, the overall pass percentage was 85.88 per cent due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, there were about 14,89,000 who appeared in the exam.
The Maharashtra HSC result 2024, which will be announced online, is tentative. Students are advised to collect their original mark sheet from their respective schools. The details on the result include – Seat number, Name of student, Subjects, Subject code, Subject-wise marks, Total marks obtained, Maximum marks, and Qualifying status.

After the HSC results are released, MSBSHSE students who believe they should have obtained higher grades can request a verification of their scores. In addition, candidates may choose to have their answer sheets re-evaluated if they are unhappy with the results. Students who would need a photocopy of the answer sheet may submit a request for a reevaluation of their exam papers. The board will post notification of the verification and re-evaluation dates on the official website shortly.
