Maharashtra government will not fall due to disqualification of MLAs, says Ajit Pawar after letter to speaker for swift action

After a Shiv Sena (UBT) delegation submitted a 79-page letter to the Maharashtra Vice President urging swift action in the disqualification of 16 Shinde camp MLAs, NCP leader Ajit Pawar made it clear that such action would harm the government. Will not collapse.

Even if 16 MLAs get disqualified, the government of Shinde and Fadnavis will not fall. Addressing a press conference here in Mumbai, Pawar said, “There is no threat to the government.”

During a meeting with Maharashtra Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal and Assembly Secretary Jitendra Bhole, a delegation of Shiv Sena (UBT) submitted a memorandum requesting prompt action regarding the disqualification of 16 MLAs of the Shinde camp as per the recent Supreme Court verdict. Shiv Sena (UBT) whip Sunil Prabhu confirmed that the delegation handed over the letter to the Speaker following the apex court’s verdict, which empowered the Speaker to decide on the disqualification of the 16 Shinde camp MLAs.

‘Not even in dreams’, Pawar claims Shinde will not resign
