Mahindra announces 2.5% price hike: Thar and XUV700 among other models, effective from today – Times of India

Mahindra & Mahindra today announced price hike of 2.5% on its entire range of vehicles, including Thar, XUV700, XUV500, XUV300, Bolero and Scorpio. After price revision, the ex-showroom prices in the range will be increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 63,000, depending on the model and variant. The price hike will be effective from April 14, 2022.
According to Mahindra, the price revision is a result of continuous increase in the prices of key commodities such as steel, aluminium, palladium, etc. Witnessing this, Mahindra has taken necessary initiatives to partially offset the unprecedented hike in commodity prices to absorb the impact. To pass on minimum percentage of cost escalation to the customers through price revision.
The company is working with its sales and dealer network to inform its customers about the new prices at an appropriate level.
In the first quarter of 2022, Mahindra has reported sales of over 75,000 units showing a growth of 42.85%. Mahindra is likely to launch a few new cars in India, including the new Scorpio and the all-electric XUV300 later by 2022.
