Mahindra’s first electric SUV XUV400 unveiled: Price, range, features, specs – Times of India

Mahindra today unveiled the Mahindra XUV400, its first electric SUV in the Indian market. The company announced that it will launch the C-segment e-SUV in January 2023. Customers can book the new Mahindra XUV400 online or at their nearest Mahindra dealership from January 2023.
Initially, the Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV will be launched in 16 cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Jaipur, Surat, Nagpur, Trivandrum, Nashik, Chandigarh, Kochi. The test drive of the electric SUV will start in these cities from December 2022. The deliveries of the Mahindra XUV400 will start by the end of January 2023.
Mahindra XUV400 is available in five color options, which include: arctic blue, Everest White, Galaxy GrayNapoli Black and Infinity Blue with dual tone roof option in Satin Copper finish.
Mahindra XUV400: Design
In terms of design, the Mahindra XUV400 is basically the electrified version of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV. Up front, the XUV400 electric SUV comes equipped with LED headlamps and DRLs, a front grille that houses the bronze-coloured ‘twin-peaks’ Mahindra logo. Mahindra XUV400 rides on high gloss diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The Indian automaker says that the XUV400 is a C-segment e-SUV that measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,634 mm in height and 1,821 mm in length. Width, The wheelbase of the electric SUV is 2,600 mm. Electric SUV has got Bluesense Plus Mobile app with 60+ connectivity features along with smartwatch connectivity. it gets three driving Mode – FunFast and fearless. The Mahindra electric SUV gets ‘Live Mode’, a single pedal drive mode for a seamless driving experience, says Mahindra.
Mahindra XUV400: Specifications and Range
Powering the Mahindra XUV400 is an IP 67 compliant 39.5 kWh battery pack and psm The motor overall produces 149.5 PS of maximum power and 310 Nm of peak torque. Offering a top speed of 150 kmph, the electric SUV accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 8.3 seconds. The company says that Mahindra’s C-segment e-SUV gives a range of 456 km on a full charge as per the Indian Driving Cycle (MIDC).
It takes only 50 minutes to charge the battery from 0-80% with a 50kW DC fast charger. When charged via a 7.2 kW/32A outlet, it takes 6 hours 30 minutes for a 0-100% charge, while it can be fully charged in 13 hours with a standard 3.3 kW/16A household socket .
Mahindra XUV400: Safety
The Mahindra XUV400 is equipped with microcontrollers for critical parts, such as a smart vehicle control unit and battery management system for the highest level of safety, the official statement said.
