Major crossing in Ayodhya to be developed and named after Lata Mangeshkar

A major crossing will be developed in Ayodhya and will be named after renowned singer Bharat Ratna late Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away on February 6.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Ayodhya administration to send a proposal to the state government to identify a major square in the temple town and name it after Lata Mangeshkar in the next 15 days.

Songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar which were dedicated to Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman will also be played in Ayodhya.

The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has started identifying major crossings across the city.

According to official sources, the main crossroads in Ayodhya on the way to Ram Janmabhoomi was likely to be selected for this project.

Ayodhya Mayor Hrishikesh Upadhyay said, “We will finalize a major crossing in the next 10 days and send a proposal to the state government to rename it after Lata Mangeshkar.”
