  1. Make sure you stir the sesame seeds and jaggery continuously so that they cook properly and get the right consistency. Always keep the stove on low flame to avoid burning in the process.
  2. To make molasses truly halwai-style, add a pinch or two of baking soda to the molasses. It also gives lightness and crispiness to the laddoos after they are prepared. Once the melted jaggery starts bubbling on adding baking soda, you can turn off the gas.
  3. To avoid burning hands simply pour the cooked ladoo mixture in a greased plate and allow it to cool for acseveral minutes, Once it comes to room temperature, you can grease your hands and make laddoos easily.
