A case has been registered under IPC section 308 (attempt to culpable homicide not amounting to murder).
Thrissur, Kerala:
South actor Vineeth Thatil was arrested on Tuesday for assaulting a man from Alappuzha in Thrissur, Kerala Police said.
Police said Thattil (45) was arrested on July 24 for assaulting Alex, a native of Alappuzha, for which he was admitted to the hospital.
A case has been registered against Thatil under section 308 (attempt to culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code, police said.
“Alex complained to the police yesterday that Thatil had attacked him. Alex is currently in hospital,” police said.
Police said that apparently, Thattil owed Alex some money and was assaulted when Alex came for it.
The actor was arrested today and will be produced in the court. He has acted in Ayyappanam Koshiyum, Angamalli Diaries, Aadu 2 etc.
