Malavika, known for her roles in films like Madhuram and Saturday Night, revealed that she was harassed three years ago while auditioning for the role of Manju Warrier’s daughter. However, he did not reveal the identity of the person who harassed him. During an interview with 24 News, Malavika revealed that during an audition for a film, a man touched her inside a room. He revealed that the incident happened three years back. She shared that she was under the impression that she was auditioning for the role of Manju Warrier’s daughter, but later learned that the said person was not even a part of the film.

The actress was accompanied by her sister and mother during the auditions held in Thrissur. Recalling that incident, he said: “Three years back, I was called to audition for a role in Manju Warrier film. The audition was for the role of Manju Warrier’s daughter. It was only later that I came to know that the people who auditioned me were not a part of the film. I was excited to get a chance to work with Manju Warrier. I had no contacts in the film industry. I could not check whether the offer was genuine or not. My mother, me and sister were taken to the audition in an Innova.”

Malavika recalled that the man had touched her inappropriately and she was numb and trembling, and despite her efforts, she could not push him away. He then started making inappropriate comments and asked her to stay in the room for ten minutes without her mother and sister. “When he caught hold of me, I started trembling. I tried to push her away with my elbow. Then the person said, ‘Malavika, if you agree then people will see you as Manju Warrier’s daughter.’ He was taking advantage of my situation. He said, ‘You don’t need to do anything. Let your mother and sister sit outside. You just need to stand here for 10 minutes. I started crying I did not know what to do. The person had a camera which he was using to shoot. I tried to knock the camera out of his hand. When he got distracted and tried to take out the camera, I ran out of the room crying. My mother and sister could not understand why I was crying. I ran out of the building and saw a bus on the street. I got on the bus still in tears. I didn’t know where the bus was going. I cried a lot in the bus. I faced casting couch two-three times.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, the actress was last seen in Roshan Andrews directorial Saturday Night. The film starred Nivin Payal, Aju Varghese and Saiju Kurup.
