Based on the story of Krishna Kumar, the film is scripted and directed by Kiran Sandhya. “When the lockdown was announced many of us ended up as islands. It was a helpless situation. The heroine reflects how many of us have gone through,” she says. She worked as an assistant director and is producing content for television.

City artist Jorge Fernandez plays the protagonist. “This is my first foray with acting. When the team approached me I decided to give it a try. There were a lot of retakes but in the end, it turned out well,” says George, who has since 1989 at the Flora Institute in Ootukuzhi of Arts and Crafts. “We know him and his art and we thought he would suit his role,” says the director.

The film was shot at George’s residence-cum-gallery, which was lit up with a beautiful garden, greenery and floral artworks. George also faced difficulties during the lockdown; He lives alone and it was difficult for him to handle everything. With no domestic help nearby, she had to depend on others to buy essentials, she also had to stop her art classes for more than a year. “But I know artists who have gone through worse times. They struggled to sell their works. Some weren’t able to buy arts and crafts supplies,” he says.
