A Malaysian MP was caught shopping online inside Parliament. The picture of the MP was shared by a leader of the opposition party. On February 28, former MP Wei Chu Keong posted a picture of Ghazi Buta on Twitter. In the photo, Buta was seen in jeans and top on a laptop. Ghazi Buta was accused of taking salary but not doing anything. The former MP also wrote that now Parliament has become a circus.

The picture went viral as soon as it surfaced online. The photo was also shared on Facebook. The picture also caught the attention of former Prime Minister Najib Razak. She re-shared the post saying that she may see a rise in the price of things because of her government.

The photo sparked outrage against the MP, who was then forced to issue a clarification.

The woman MP said that this is just a glimpse of the advertisement that came on her laptop. She was just doing her job. But then a shopping site advertisement opened on his laptop. She said someone took a picture of her and shared it showing her in bad light.

Targeting those who shared the pictures, he wrote that they have nothing to speak against the government, so they are making these trivial things an issue.

However, people were unwilling to accept the explanation and wanted him to focus on work next time.
