Malaysia to reopen borders with quarantine relaxation from April – Times of India

Ismail Sabri said in a televised address that the Southeast Asian country will begin transitioning to the endemic phase of COVID-19 from next month.
The reopening follows similar steps taken by neighboring Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia, with quarantine for vaccinated passengers with negative COVID-19 tests before departure and after arrival.
Ismail Sabri said Malaysian nationals barred from leaving the country for more than a year can fully resume international travel, with Singapore announced last year as Brunei, Thailand and Indonesia among others. Work on travel agreements with countries was underway.
He also said that the hours of business operations, restrictions on gatherings, social distancing and interstate travel will be relaxed.
