quota: barani Police on Sunday arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly killing his 70-year-old father, whose body was found outside his hut in an agricultural area in Kherkheda village of Baran district on June 30.

According to Chhabra police station in-charge Nekiram, during interrogation of the accused it was found that Kanhi was addicted to liquor, lived alone in a hut in 4 bighas and used to sell illegal country liquor. The police found that Hemraj was fed up with all his activities as he believed that his father had insulted his family by selling illicit liquor. He said that Hemraj was also not happy that his father was willing to give 4 bighas of land to his elder brother.
Meanwhile around 2-3 other villagers had earlier held Kanhi responsible for the death of their family members and threatened him. So, taking advantage of this, Hemraj hatched a conspiracy to murder and some villagers, who had threatened his father and accordingly filed a report against him, said the SHO. news network
