Police are probing whether illegal drugs played a role in the attacker’s actions

A 25-year-old man attacked a 78-year-old man on a train platform in Oregon, USA. according to a report by Fox NewsThe man allegedly chewed off an elderly man’s ear and part of his face.

According to authorities, the 25-year-old man, identified as Corian Kramer, attacked the victim shortly after 2 a.m. on a Max platform at the Cleveland Avenue stop in Gresham, Oregon.

Police received a call about a possible stabbing shortly after the attack, when witnesses saw a large pool of blood on the ground. new york post Reported.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect continuing to attack the victim. Police immediately took the suspect into custody and called paramedics to assist the victim.

Officers soon learned that the suspect used his teeth to attack the victim instead of a knife. The “attacker” had chewed off the victim’s ear and part of her face, police said. The injury was so severe that responders were able to see the victim’s skull.”

The attacker, Kramer, was booked on a charge of second-degree assault and police are investigating whether illegal drugs played a role in the attacker’s actions.

A source familiar with the investigation told KATU news station that Kramer allegedly admitted to drinking alcohol and using both fentanyl and marijuana before the attack.
