Man detained in Germany in Ludhiana blast case

Jaswinder Singh Multani is reportedly associated with Sikhs for Justice, an organization suspected to be behind the recent bombings

Based on intelligence inputs from India, German authorities have reportedly detained a man linked to Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), who is suspected to be behind. Recent bomb blasts in Ludhianaofficials said on Tuesday.

The man, identified as Jaswinder Singh Multani, was detained in a German city after intelligence was shared with authorities in Berlin, including his alleged involvement in planning terror attacks in India, officials said. The role was highlighted.

Mr Multani, against whom two FIRs have been registered in Punjab, was picked up and kept in custody and was being questioned on inputs provided by Indian agencies to the authorities in Berlin through diplomatic channels.

In January this year, Haryana Police had arrested a youth named Yogesh in Sonepat for allegedly hatching a conspiracy to kill farmer leaders Rajewal, Baldev Singh Sirsa, Kuldeep Sandhu and Jagjit Singh. The police have also recovered pictures of these people from his mobile.

The arrested youth told that he was in touch with Multani through messages and was assigned the task of targeting some farmer leaders.

According to officials, during the investigation of the bombing, the police found evidence to show that the attacker was in contact with pro-Khalistan leaders in Pakistan and Gulf countries. After perusing the evidence, the agencies were shocked to learn that Gagandeep was in constant touch with Mr. Multani and was instrumental in arranging the explosive material for the subsequent blast. He said chats on social media also indicated that more blasts were being planned by the group in Punjab and the rest of the country.
