A 67-year-old man died after a wall collapsed at Perambra in Kozhikode district on Monday evening.
His name was given in Perambra as Narayan Kurup of Parent Mithal, Parappil. Mr. Kurup was standing next to the wall of the compound outside his house when the earthen wall of the house situated on a higher floor fell on him from above. The incident took place around 6 pm, though local residents and fire and rescue personnel tried to rescue him, but their efforts went in vain.
