Man stabbed to death during fight over playing loud music in gym in Delhi Delhi News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death on Tuesday after a fight broke out between two groups over playing loud music inside a gym in central Delhi. Paharganj area, police said.
He said that the deceased has been identified as Manoj Manchanda, a resident of Motia Khan in Paharganj and he was the owner of a shop.
According to the police, on Tuesday, the Paharganj police station received information from Lady Hardinge Hospital that some people were injured in a fight at the fitness hub gym at Chuna Mandi, Paharganj.
Police reached the hospital where two people from one group and four from the other group were admitted after being injured. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chahan said that Manoj suffered serious injuries and died during treatment.
A case was registered on charges of murder, attempt to murder and common intention following a statement of Vicky ManchandaThe brother of the deceased, DCP said.
Vicky said that Mayank Manchanda called his father Manoj at around 10 in the morning and told that his acquaintances Saurav Sharma, Joginder Sharma, Manjeet Sharma and Rahul SharmaPolice said that all the residents of Ghee Mandi of Paharganj were fighting with him in the gym.
He said that both Vicky and Manoj reached the gym and a scuffle broke out between the two sides, causing them serious injuries.
He said that both the parties were also involved in a case registered under section 160 (incitement) of the Indian Penal Code last year.
Police said that the matter is being investigated and two accused have been arrested.
