A man repeatedly stabbed a woman with a knife on a busy road in Karnataka’s Davanagere as people watched him unhindered. The murder has been captured in the CCTV camera.
In the security footage, the woman Sultana can be seen talking to a man on the road, who was later identified as Chand Peer. Suddenly, the man starts stabbing the woman, jumps on his motorcycle and flees the spot. Later the man consumed poison in an attempt to commit suicide.
The shocking thing is that the incident took place on a crowded road, but no one tried to help the woman.
Sultana dies of excessive bleeding, while Chand Peer is battling for life.
Police said that Chand was in love with Peer or Saadat Sultana, but she did not reciprocate his feelings. His family also disowned him. Police said when Sultana’s family arranged her marriage with another person, it enraged Chand Peer and he conspired to kill her.
