Right-back Kyle Walker and center back John Stones were in training on Thursday, despite being previously ruled out for the rest of the season, by City manager Pep Guardiola with defender Ruben Dias.

Guardiola could say at his weekly news conference on Friday whether Walker and Stones, who both suffered injuries in the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, are available for a game against Villa.

Guardiola had to make a temporary defense for last weekend’s game at West Ham and City were open at the back several times in a 2-2 draw, giving second-placed Liverpool hopes of snatching the title.

City will be one point clear of Liverpool on Sunday, who are at home to Wolverhampton in a match played together.
