A group of terrorists belonging to Manipur-based terror group People’s Liberation Army ambushed the convoy of Colonel Biplab Tripathi, commanding officer of 46 Assam Rifles. Army sources said that the terrorists opened fire on the convoy after detonating the IED, in which four personnel of the paramilitary force including the CO, his wife and son were killed. This incident is from Churachandpur district of Manipur, which borders Myanmar.
