Manish Sisodia asks Delhi University to cancel interview for appointment of permanent teacher

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday wrote a letter to Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh asking him to cancel interviews scheduled for appointment of permanent teachers in some of the 28 announcements announced to be fully or partially funded by the state government. In the letter, the minister alleged that the appointments were being made without the consent of the government and such decisions were having a financial impact on the state government.

The letter states, “Interviews are being conducted for permanent posts in some of the 28 claims covered by GNCTD (Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi). I am raising the importance of conducting interviews to fill important teaching positions, but any financial decision for these complaints has a financial impact on GNCTD as well.

It also added, “Therefore, the scheduled interview stands canceled with immediate effect.” Sisodia in the letter directed Yogesh Singh not to take any financial decision without the approval of the full governing body, which has adequate representation from GNCTD.
