Some pro-Marathi activists vandalized a KSRTC bus in Maharashtra’s Dhaund village in protest Karnataka’s claim on Jat taluk and some other areas in Maharashtra.

The protesters wrote anti-Karnataka graffiti on a bus to Athani, and raised slogans accusing Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai of making false claims about the presence of a large number of Kannada-speaking people in Jat and other areas.

Belagavi police said that neither KSRTC staff nor passengers were injured in the incident.

CM demanded action against the culprits

Mr. Bommai demanded that the Maharashtra government take action against the miscreants and provide security to KSRTC buses.
