Maruti Suzuki Brezza again becomes India’s best-selling SUV: It made it a huge hit – Times of India

Maruti suzuki brezza seems to be walking on the same path to success as the old Vitara Brezza beat its rivals to win the title of best selling SUV in the country. Maruti Suzuki says that it has registered over 1 lakh bookings for the subcompact SUV within two months of its launch on June 30. Brezza Sales of 15,193 units were recorded in August, which is 108 units more than its nearest rival. Tata Nexon, Speaking of rivals, Hyundai Venue also did well with sales of 11,240 units.
The Brezza’s climb to the top spot isn’t really a surprise as the older model, the Vitara Brezza, was consistent in and out of the space. The new Brezza naturally takes advantage of the popularity created by the Vitara Brezza. Maruti Suzuki had reportedly registered 45,000 pre-bookings even before the car was launched. Also, the subcompact SUV has been heavily improved in this generation.

The new Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that makes 101 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 136.8 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. The SUV offers two transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter. The former comes in four trims – LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+ – while the automatic comes in three variants VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+. Prices start at Rs 7.99 lakh and go up to Rs 13.8 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza has undergone a complete overhaul on the inside and outside of the old model. The list of features gets some major changes, including a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin gets automatic climate control, 360-degree camera system, connected features and heads-up display. Other neat features include cruise control, an engine start-stop button, and six airbags.
