Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Saturday that auto major Maruti Suzuki has been given approval to set up a new plant in over 900 acres of land at Kharkhoda in Sonipat district of the state. Khattar said this while presiding over the meeting of Haryana Enterprise Promotion Center here.

“Approval has been given to set up a new Maruti plant on about 900 acres of land at Kharkhoda in Sonepat,” Khattar said in an official statement here.

He said that this would further increase the production of Maruti, which would give a boost to the automobile sector in the state.

Earlier she was in talks with the state government to set up a plant in Rohtak, but due to some reasons now they will set it up in Panipat.

The unit will be set up on 70 acres of land, Khattar said.

The Chief Minister said that another project related to the production of railway parts has also been considered in the meeting. This project will be set up in Rohtak.

On the issue of pollution, the Chief Minister said, it is our endeavor to reduce pollution not only in Delhi NCR but also in the cities and villages of the state. For this serious efforts are being made by the state government. Equipment and machines for crop residue management have been given on subsidy to the farmers, he said.

The Chief Minister said that there has been a significant reduction in the cases of stubble burning in the state. He said that 183 cases of stubble burning have been reported in Haryana.

Meanwhile, at a separate event, Khattar told the company’s representatives that they can spend the CSR funds for the society anywhere but it would be better if they mix that money with the government.

Khattar was addressing an event organized by Haryana State CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Trust in Gurugram, where more than 75 corporate leaders were invited to attend the event, an official statement said.

The Chief Minister said that it is mandatory for companies to spend at least two percent of their profits under their social responsibility.

He said, “You can spend this money anywhere for the society on works related to health, beautification, education etc., but it is better that you invest this money with the cooperation of the government because the government knows the priorities of development works. Is.” ,
