0 notes

Maruti Suzuki reported a decline of 24.18 per cent in sales at 24.18 per cent last month as against 1,82,448 units sold in the same month last month. And the double-digit drop in volumes is primarily attributable to a reduction in production numbers due to chip shortages. In fact, the company reported last month that it is facing a backlog of over 2 lakh pending customer orders in the country. The carmaker said this is mainly due to the challenges posed by the global shortfall in supply of electronic components, which has had a major impact on vehicle production.
