Maruti XL6 Vs Kia Carens: Price, Specs Comparison – Times of India

Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the new XL6 in India at a starting price of Rs 11.29 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.55 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). The six-seat Maruti XL6 will take on its siblings Ertiga and Kia Carens. Here is how the 2022 Maruti XL6 matches up with the Kia Carrens in terms of price.

The new Maruti XL6 is available at a starting price of Rs 11.29 lakh, while the Kia Carriance has a starting price of Rs 9.5 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). The Maruti XL6 top-spec variant is around Rs 3.15 lakh cheaper than the Kia Carence top trim, which costs around Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

Currently, the Kia Carens is the most powerful offering a maximum power output of 140 hp. The 1.5-litre diesel engine of Kia Carens generates 250 Nm of peak torque. In terms of transmission too, the Kia Carense has the upper hand as it offers a 7-speed DCT. The new Maruti XL6 now gets a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission and paddle shifters. Considering the pricing and specifications, the 2022 Maruti XL6 could also be a potential rival to the Kia Carrens and Mahindra Marazzo.
