The sudden demise of veteran actor Satish Kaushik sent shockwaves across the film industry. The actor and filmmaker was in Delhi when he suffered a heart attack while traveling in a car. His body was brought to Mumbai on Thursday. The last rites were performed at the Versova crematorium. After this, fashion designer and actress Masaba Gupta shared a collage of old pictures of her mother Neena Guptaactor Anupam Kher, and late actor Satish Kaushik. Also, Masaba thanks Satish Kaushik for showing kindness to Neena Gupta over the years.
Masaba posted an old black and white picture of Neena Gupta and Satish Kaushik from earlier days on her Instagram story, where they can be seen working together in the film ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’. Sharing the picture, Masaba condoled the demise of Satish Kaushik and wrote a heartfelt note. “Rest in peace Kaushik uncle – you have given mom the greatest gift… your kindness all those years – you will be missed.” Wrote Masaba.
Also, Masaba Gupta shared the photo collage of Anupam, Neena and Satish without any caption. Reacting to the post, a fan commented, “Satish ji in the form of a calendar was a refreshing addition and I realized how big hearted he was when I saw an interview with Neenaji… Neena ji mentioned How he came forward to help her when Masaba needed admission in school and had some challenges.”
Meanwhile, Neena Gupta also shared an emotional video remembering her late co-star. She said, “Friends this morning I woke up with very bad news. There was only one person in this world who used to call me Nancy and I call him Kaushikan. Very old friend of ours… Delhi my… college days.” Sai Saath…whether we meet or not. He is no more…it’s very scary and very sad.”
“His little girl and his wife Shashi are in the same trouble for him… Whatever they need I am with them. May God give them strength especially Vanshika.” The world used to call me Nancy, and I used to call her Kaushikan. Our friendship dates back to our college days, and we have shared a long association, even though we don’t meet often. He is no more. This is very scary and sad. His daughter Vanshika and his wife Shashi – this is a very difficult time for them, and I am always there for them if they ever need me. May God give them the strength to deal with this loss, especially Vanshika),” he said in the video.
Along with the video, Neena wrote, “Goodbye Kaushikan.” Neena gave interesting details about her friendship with Satish Kaushik in her autobiography Sach Kahoon Toh. She also revealed that Satish had offered to marry her when she was courting Masaba Gupta and was unmarried.
