The pre-registration window for Mayhem Studios Underworld Gang Wars (UGW), which launches later this year, goes live today. With this, gamers across the country can soon take the first step towards playing the country’s first AAA battle royale game and pre-register for the game on Google Play.

The two central characters, Tyagi and Boris, appear to be walking a typical Indian setup in the Bollywood genre. The leaders of both gangs are set ablaze in front of buildings, take off their weapons and go with their respective gangs; “Bhokal Toli” and “The Velvets”.
The trailer sheds light on how the game revolves around the rivalry between two gangs and strikes a clear contrast between the two. Tyagi and Bhokali are the Dalit gang while Boris and the Velvets are their arch rivals, the urban gang. The costumes, weapons and vehicles of both characters evoke a strong sense of Indianness, as well as reflect their clear social divisions. Dressed in a simple shirt and lungi and carrying a hammer, Solitaire is in stark contrast to the more urban and sophisticated Boris who carries an assault gun.
With the characters and storyline rooted in India, the game promises to be set with some interesting characters inspired by the stories of India. The game’s themes, weapons and maps have been designed to offer a unique experience to the gamers.
The gameplay in UGW intensifies as the downtrodden gang from the west seeks to take control of the eastern region from their arch-rival Urban Horde.
To provide an authentic experience, each area depicted in the game resembles a real location in India, be it a coal mine or the apartment complex next door. It also has iconic landmarks including a fort, station, stadium and a racecourse.
