MC Stan won ‘Bigg Boss 16’

Rapper MC Stan was on Sunday declared the winner of popular reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 16, beating his friend Shiv Thackeray.

The show’s host and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan presented the trophy, prize money of over Rs 31 lakh and a car to Stan.

Thackeray emerged as the first runner-up in the 16th season of the show which premiered on October 1, 2022.

Popular TV star Priyanka Chahar Chowdhary, who was adjudged as the winner, came third.

Politician-model Archana Gautam stood fourth, actor Shalin Bhanot, known for shows like “Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar” and “Dil Mil Gaye”, finished fifth.

Stan later told Khan, “I am grateful to you for everything you have taught me. You are the most genuine person. I am sure my parents must be very proud. Lots of love to all.” Lots of love to my troupe and everyone.” He was declared the winner.

One of the highlights of “Bigg Boss 16” was the bond shared by the ‘troupe’, which also included Thackeray, filmmaker Sajid Khan, Abdu Rozic, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Sumbul Touqueer Khan.

Chowdhary, whose eviction surprised many including Khan, said he is happy with all the love coming his way.

She said, “I thought I might be homeless in a week, but after your (Khan’s) scolding, I started being practical (about the show).”

The grand finale saw Bollywood star Sunny Deol promoting his upcoming film “Gadar 2” with co-star Ameesha Patel, and the team of new show “Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal” starring Karan Kundrra.

At the beginning of the show, Khan thanked the fans and followers of “Bigg Boss” for their love and support for the contestants.

Actresses Tina Dutta, Ankit Gupta, Soundarya Sharma, Sreejita De and dancer Gori Nagori, who appeared in the web show “Raktanchal 2”, were also among the 17 contestants of season 16.
