Mangaluru: Mangaluru Municipal council (mcc) A launched in Dakshina Kannada district headquarter city in Karnataka online portal To enable citizens to self-declare property tax paymentCheck property details and pay taxes.
The portal www.mccpropertytax.in was launched by MLAK D Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Bharat Shetty, Mayor Premanand Shetty and MCC commissioner Akshay Sridhari on Monday.
Premanand Shetty said that self-declaration property tax payment is in circulation since 1st April 2008.
Taxpayers have been paying taxes through various forms issued by MCC at various banks and service centres.
For the convenience of the public, an online portal has been launched which will facilitate online tax payment and also to verify property and payment details.
Citizens paying taxes through online services will get complete information about pending and upcoming payments as well as past payments.
The portals have been updated with all property categories including residential, commercial and non-commercial buildings across MCC boundaries.
Tax payment amount and other details will be displayed ward wise building number wise.
The calculations are fully computerized, leaving no room for errors in billing amounts. This will make it easier for the citizens.
The mayor said that the public can contact their respective regional commissioners or tax officers for more information about online tax payment services.
Meanwhile, the tender process for the property survey has been completed and the work will start soon.
steps to follow
Firstly, register on www.mccpropertytax.in with your 10 digit mobile number and enter the OTP to be sent on it. Check if there has been a land change in your property. In case of change of land, enter the details of the property given for road extension.
Check building number, account number, property ID, owner’s address and enter other important information
If tenants live in your property, enter their details
Select the road where your property stands and choose your property type i.e. Commercial, Residential or Non-Commercial.
Enter the exact details of the property and building area, and all other required details. Check the building and floor information again, confirming the tax payment amount. Use Net Banking, Debit Card, Google Pay, PhonePe, Bank Transfer to initiate payment. Taxes can be paid offline after submitting the challan and visiting any bank.
