A snake hunter in Jordan is keeping people and reptiles safe from harm. Yassin al-Saqour travels across the country, removing the slippery critters from people’s homes.
He takes care of any injured snake before releasing it back into the forest. He also believes that reptiles are becoming accustomed to living with humans.
“There are 37 types of snakes in Jordan and only seven of them are venomous – 30 are non-venomous, which you can keep at home,” Al-Skour told Reuters. “They start getting used to being with humans.”

Al-Saqour says that snakes are his favorite animal and he tries to raise awareness about them by posting videos on social media.
