Meghalaya Election: I am not involved in refusing PM Modi’s rally – Meghalaya

Meghalaya MP and National People’s Party (NPPE) supremo Conrad K. Megha on Monday said that neither she nor her party had any role in the denial of permission for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally at the PA Sangma Sports Complex in Tura.

The sports department has informed the authorities in West Garo Hills district that the prime minister’s rally there cannot be allowed as debris could become a security concern.

The BJP alleged that the BJP’s BJP wave was trying to stop the BJP. The BJP last month severed ties with ally NPP ahead of the February 27 assembly elections.

In a statement issued here, Shamil said the allegation by the BJP was “false” as permission for the rally was given by the Election Commission and the district administration is now part of it.
