Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Congress leader Salman Anees Soz interrogated on Friday Ashish Mishra’s releaseThe son of a Union minister has been accused of crushing farmers who were protesting at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh last year.
“Omar Khalid, Fahad Shah, Waheed Para and Siddiqui Kapan are in jail on false charges. But a minister’s son allegedly ran away after crushing the farmers. Criminals roam freely in Godse’s India and those who tell the truth are jailed,” Ms Mufti said in a tweet.
Mr. Soz, son of former Union Minister Saifuddin Soz, also questioned the bail granted to Mr. Mishra. Jamia shooter got bail. Shaheen Bagh shooter got bail, the accused killer of Lakhimpur Kheri has got bail. This is the principle of ‘bail is the rule, jail is the exception’,” Mr Soz said.
