Mercedes-Benz India to hike prices of select models by up to 2% from January 2022

New Delhi : German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India on Thursday said it will hike prices of select models by up to 2% with effect from January 1, 2022, to compensate for feature enhancements and rising input costs.

However, the company said that it is committed to price protection for customers who have booked their cars and are waiting for more than four months for select models.

“Mercedes-Benz is introducing new generation models and enriching its existing model range with new technologies and distinctive product enhancements,” the company said in a statement.

However, it said, “To offset the cost for such feature enhancements amid rising input costs, Mercedes-Benz will only revise the ex-showroom price of select models upwards”.

The price revision of up to 2% will be effective from January 1, 2022.

Price protection is applicable till December 31, 2021 for select models like A-Class, GLA and E-Class.

The company further said that it has also extended the price protection for customers who have booked the GLE 400 and GLE 400d SUVs, and are waiting since April to get the deliveries.
