The report said, “Mobile Internet continues to be the dominant medium for Indian users to go online, given the relatively low fixed broadband penetration. The share of mobile gaming in online gaming is expected to increase in the future.”

The report noted that India is one of the world’s leading countries in terms of number of hours spent on mobile per day, but fixed broadband penetration is low compared to global counterparts, making it difficult to realize the full potential of the metaverse. will be important.

The report plans to increase broadband penetration in India to nine per cent in the current fiscal year 22E, from 6.8 per cent in FY20.
