MG Astor vs Hyundai Creta

Now, the Hyundai Creta has been the most popular SUV in the segment and one of the best selling SUVs in India. Considering the fact that the MG Astor is a petrol-only SUV, for the sake of this comparison, we are only considering the petrol variants of the Creta, priced from ₹ 10.16 Lakh to ₹ 17.87 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). is in between. The base trim of the Astor undercuts the Creta by ₹ 38,000, and offers better features, while the top-end trim is cheaper by ₹ 9,000. Both the SUVs get the option of both a naturally aspirated petrol motor and a turbo petrol engine and both are fully connected SUVs. But the Astor also comes with ADAS with Level 2 autonomous technology, which, though an optional feature for the top-end trim, gives the SUV an upper hand over the Creta.

MG Astor vs Kia Seltos

The Kia Seltos is based on the same platform as the Hyundai Creta, and they share engine options as well. That said, with the Seltos prices starting at ₹ 9.95 lakh, going up to ₹ 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the base variant is still ₹ 17,000 more expensive than the entry-level styling trim of the Astor. However, the top-end model is ₹1 lakh more expensive than the MG rival. Considering the Seltos has similar features to the Creta, the Astor is a better option in terms of creature comforts.

MG Astor vs Skoda Kushak

Skoda Kushaq was launched just a few months back, and it has already gained a lot of popularity, not only that till September the company had already received more than 10,000 bookings. Right now, the Skoda Kushaq price ranges from ₹ 10.50 Lakh to ₹ 17.60 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). So, clearly, ester Kushk bites at both ends of the spectrum. Now, the VW Taigun is based on the same platform as the Kushaq and gets the same engines. So, in terms of performance, it even surpasses the Astor. However, like the Kushak, the Taigun is also priced between ₹ 10.50 Lakh and ₹ 17.50 Lakh, (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it ₹ 72,000 more expensive than the MG Astor. Having said that, the MG Astor still offers more value than the Taigun, making it a better all-rounder SUV on paper.
