MG Motor and Siemens collaborate to develop digital solution to conserve energy – Times of India

MG Motor India has partnered with Siemens To leverage digital technologies (including IoT, data analytics, plant simulationand MindSphere) to increase productivity, save energy and costs, and reduce emissions and carbon footprint in its operations.
MG claims that it has become the first auto OEM in the world to use MindSphere and Plant Simulation as a closed-loop digital twin. The software can link plant assets and processes and provide insight into more streamlined paint processes, resulting in a 15% increase in pre-treatment and electrocoating paint processes in the future.
