Microsoft said on Thursday that it will provide free technical support for Ukraine throughout the calendar year 2023.
Microsoft Vice President and President Brad Smith said the company would provide additional technology support worth about $100 million.
“This will ensure that government agencies, critical infrastructure and other sectors in Ukraine can continue to run their digital infrastructure and serve citizens,” Smith said in a blog post.

The latest commitment will bring Microsoft’s total support for Ukraine to more than $400 million since the war broke out in February.
“Ukraine’s continued defense depends on a vital digital alliance of countries, companies and non-profits. Since the war began in February, Microsoft and other tech companies have provided unprecedented technical assistance to the government and people of Ukraine ,” said Smith.
By distributing digital infrastructure in the public cloud, Microsoft and others have supported important Ukrainian services through data centers across Europe.
“As outlined in a Microsoft report in June, it has played a key role in protecting the resilience and security of Ukraine’s data and digital services, even as Russian cruise missiles and Ukraine’s government data centers And also in the event of other kinetic attacks on other physical assets,” Smith informed.
The company is supporting the country with critical cybersecurity protections and providing data and support to international organizations assisting Ukraine and addressing war crimes against civilians.
