Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued job advertisement for the posts of Passport Officer and Deputy Passport Officer. As per the official notification, Central Passport Organisation, a subordinate office of Ministry of External Affairs intends to fill up its vacancies on deputation basis. Applications should be submitted to the concerned office within 30 days of the publication of the advertisement.
Central Government officials who fulfill the eligibility requirements can apply offline. Candidates are required to send the duly filled form available on the website by post to the office of the Ministry of External Affairs at New Delhi. Selected candidates will be posted at various stations across the country.

Passport Officer Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Passport Officer: Candidates should be holding similar post on regular basis in parent department or should have served 5 years in Level 11 of Pay Matrix or equivalent department on regular basis. In addition, applicants should have 9 years of experience in Passport, Consular, Emigration, Administration, Finance, Accounts, Vigilance or Public Grievances. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is also required.
Deputy Passport Officer: An applicant should be holding similar posts on regular basis in parent cadre or department, or should have 5 years service in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix provided after appointment to that level on regular basis in parent cadre or department. To be eligible for the deputy posts, a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is essential. Also, 5 years experience in Passport, Consular, Emigration, Administration, Finance, Accounts, Vigilance or Public Grievances is required.
Age Range: The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 56 years as on the last date of application.
Passport Officer Recruitment 2022: Salary
Candidates who are selected for the post of Passport Officer will get salary between Rs 78,800 to Rs 2,09,200 (per month). Meanwhile, those selected for the post of Deputy Passport Officer will get a salary between Rs 67,700 to Rs 2,08,700 (per month).
