Mira Kapoor is savoring some ‘winter goodies’, can you guess?

Winter is officially here, as we can all see a huge drop in temperatures, with days getting shorter and nights getting longer. With the changing seasons, our food choices also change. We can no longer indulge in cold drinks and icy cold popsicles, and we find ourselves inclined to indulge in hot soups and comforting puddings. Certain types of foods are eaten during the winter season. These are seasonal delights that are available especially during the colder months and are best consumed during this period to reap maximum nutritional benefits. “Gifts of winter! Panjiri, Karonda pickle and hot chutney that will have a permanent place on my plate,” wrote Mira Kapoor in her Instagram story. Panjiri, also known as Pinni, is a popular dry dessert consumed during the winter months in northern India. It is made by roasting wheat flour with gum, dry fruits, ghee and sugar. Panjiri is said to help generate heat in the body and ward off seasonal infections. Similarly, Karonda or cranberry is a tart berry that is loaded with antioxidants and also helps in boosting immunity during the changing seasons. Karonda is a spicy and spicy pickle of winter which is eaten in homes all over the country.

It’s not just winter delights that Mira Kapoor Have treated myself. Being a Delhi girl, she has a great penchant for all winter things like leafy green vegetables. Recently, the diva posted a story of some hearty and delicious greens that she ate for lunch. Describing it as her favorite winter treat, she wrote, “My favorite season and favorite vegetable! I eat it every other day for lunch during winters. As it cools down, Makai will add to roti and jaggery. ” Have a look:
