MNS chief Raj Thackeray was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, where he will undergo hip surgery on Wednesday, a party leader said. Earlier this month, 53-year-old Thackeray had said that he would undergo surgery for his knee and back problems.
MNS leader Nitin Sardesai said that he will undergo hip surgery tomorrow. Thackeray was in the news recently after giving an ultimatum to remove loudspeakers from mosques. He was also scheduled to visit Ayodhya on June 5, but he has put the plan on hold for now.
