Modi will lay the foundation of the elevated road in the city. Ranchi News – Times of India

Ranchi: Commuters facing difficulty in passing through the congested Kachari-Piska route can heave a sigh of relief as the elevated road is expected to be built on that stretch in two years. Prime Minister on Tuesday Narendra Modi The temple will lay the foundation stone of the elevated road corridor project away from Deoghar – a first in Jharkhand – at the inauguration ceremony of the city’s airport.
Situated in the heart of the city, this 3.6 km long stretch has vegetable shops, apparel stores and offices and is one of the busiest commercial hubs of Ranchi. On an average 15,000-20,000 vehicles pass through the road – which connects to NH-23 – daily. Apart from using the stretch for their daily commute, people often use this road to go Gumla and Daltonganj district, instead of taking the longer route via Ring Road. Needless to say, the entire section remains jammed throughout the day, even during the late evening when heavy vehicles pass through the area. However, the elevated road is expected to reduce the stretch and ensure a smooth ride for the commuters.
3.6 km long elevated road from Kachari pisca Mor Via Ratu Road will be four lane built on a single pillar. Under the elevated road, we will also make the existing road four-lane. The selected agency will start work from July 15 (due date) and will have to complete the work in the next two years.NHAI, SK MishraTold.
A Haryana based construction company KCC Construction Pvt Ltd has been contracted for this project.
“The USP of this project is that it involves minimal acquisition of land, which otherwise hinders or delays such projects,” Mishra said.
534 crores is estimated to be spent on this project.
“Many plans to reduce the Ratu-Piska Mor stretch were made in the past, but something got in the way and the plans never materialised. In the last one year, we worked hard to achieve the plan and after some technical feasibility studies, NHAI finally gave its green signal,” said Mishra.
